Creo que todas las imágenes tienen algo de fantasmal: están presentes y ausentes simultáneamente. Por eso el teatro y el imaginario teatral aparecen con frecuencia en mi obra, como metáforas de la puesta en escena que toda imagen implica. Y sabemos, las imágenes son un reflejo de todo lo demás.
Me interesa el imaginario local (sus paisajes, historias y contradicciones) no para afirmarlo, sino para desdoblarlo, tensionarlo y ampliarlo; es la manera que encontré de preguntarme por el origen y la pertenencia en este mundo tumultuoso.
El absurdo aparece en mis obras como una fuente de humor y parodia, un método para eludir la solemnidad y, que es también, una mirada trágica enmascarada. Me interesa construir imágenes ambiguas pero cargadas de elementos reconocibles, capaces de activar asociaciones íntimas, culturales e incluso arquetípicas.
Muchas de mis piezas son visiblemente frágiles, realizadas con materiales delicados o en escalas pequeñas. Esa precariedad no funciona solo como una cualidad material, sino también como una forma de recordar la vulnerabilidad inevitable de todas las cosas.
Busco que mis obras despierten la imaginación simbólica y su capacidad para tejer sentidos, reflexiones y metáforas. Quiero crear enigmas que, en su ambigüedad no inocente, interpelen a quien las observa desde lo personal para confrontarlo con lo que es común y colectivo.

I believe that all images contain something ghostly: they are simultaneously present and absent. This is why theater and theatrical imagery frequently appear in my work, as metaphors for the staging that every image implies. After all, images are reflections of everything else.
I am interested in the local imaginary —its landscapes, stories, and contradictions— not in order to affirm it, but rather to unfold it, tension it, and expand it; it is the way I have found to question ideas of origin and belonging in this tumultuous world.
Absurdity appears in my work as a source of humor and parody, a method for eluding solemnity, while also concealing a tragic dimension. I am interested in constructing ambiguous images charged with recognizable elements, capable of activating intimate, cultural, and even archetypal associations.
Many of my pieces are visibly fragile, made with delicate materials or at small scales. This precariousness operates not only as a material quality, but also as a way of recalling the inevitable vulnerability of all things.
I seek for my works to awaken the symbolic imagination and its capacity to weave meanings, reflections, and metaphors. I want to create enigmas that, through a non-innocent ambiguity, confront viewers from a personal place while also connecting them to what is shared and collective.
